UFFL 2011 SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
February 26th, 2011: The UFFL 2011 schedule has been announced and the Washington Redskins will have the easiest schedule, facing opponents who averaged only six wins in 2010. The Skins schedule has them facing only two teams with winning records (the undefeated Carolina Panthers in week 9, and the 14-2 Arizona Cardinals in weeks 10 and 14). Overall, the Redskin opponents played at a .387 pace in 2010.
On the flip side of that equation, two AFC West teams -- the Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns -- have tied for the toughest schedule, facing opponents that played at nearly a .600 clip in 2010. Two other AFC West teams aren't far behind, with Oakland's opponents putting up a record of 147 - 109 (.574) in 2010, and Denver's opponents just two games behind at 145 - 111 (.566).
The Carolina Panthers, who finished the 2010 season undefeated in the regular season and swept through the playoffs only to lose in the Super Bowl to the Jets, have the second easiest schedule with their opponents putting up a 102 - 154 record overall (.398). The New York Jets have the third easiest schedule, as their opponents won .422 of their games.
Three teams, Miami, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco, have an average schedule, with their opponents playing exactly .500 ball in 2010.
A complete listing of strength of schedule for each of the 28 UFFL teams is listed at the bottom of this article.
Now, bear in mind that these are projections only. Because we are projecting who will have an easier or tougher time of it in 2011 by looking at last year's records, this is akin to driving by looking in the rearview mirror only, and we cannot truly know who has the easiest or toughest 2011 schedule until the 2011 season is complete.
